Growing up in Wilmington, NC, I developed an early love for history, horses, and all things beach oriented. It was the love of history that took me to the College of Charleston where I majored in Historic Preservation and Community Planning. Exploring all of the extraordinary historic architecture of Charleston led me to design. After graduation, I continued my studies at Trident Technical College focusing on Interior Design, Computer Aided Design, and Construction Management.

My professional career started at Henry J. Smith Architects where I honed my skills on office space planning projects and both commercial and residential new construction and historic rehabilitation. After ten years with HJSA, I ventured out on my own to pursue my wanderlust and expand my design style.

K. Pratt Design is a culmination of all that I love. I hope my unique outlook, creative nature, and experience will help you create a home that you love.
